Sealed bids will be received by the City of Portage, Columbia County, Wisconsin, until Wednesday January 24, 2018 @ 10:00 a.m. C.D.T., at the City of Portage City Hall, 115 W. Pleasant St., Portage, Wisconsin 53901. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above time and place. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Portage and marked "Bid" with the project name.2018 Sidewalk Project - The project consists of 4" and 6" sidewalk removal and replacement, 6" driveway removal and replacement, installation of new 4" sidewalk and complete restoration. The contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes, including Sections 61.55, 61.56, 62.15, 66.0901, 66.0903, 779.14 and 779.16. BID GUARANTEE: Only those bids that are accompanied by a Bid Bond or unqualified certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid will be considered. The Bid Bond or certified check shall be issued in the applicable amount of the bid for the City of Portage. The bid bond or certified check serves as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the agreement and a 100% Performance and Payment Bond within fifteen (15) days after the Notice of Award.
