Operation: Christmas Cheer is a community service project sponsored by Cheery 4H. They are “lighting up” Riverside Park in New Lisbon. Load up the family and drive through the park where local businesses and families have decorated some of the camp sites for the holidays. The purpose of the project is to spread holiday cheer while supporting the local food pantry.

First lighting will take place Dec. 8. Lights will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.

On Dec. 15 and 16, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Cheery 4-H will be hosting Cookies, Cocoa and Caroling Fun in the pavilion. During this time you will be able to vote for your favorite lighted site. With your vote you can make a monetary donation and any funds raised will go to support the New Lisbon Food Pantry. The site that raises the most money will be named the winner of “Operation: Christmas Cheer!” The club will also be accepting nonperishable items for the food pantry.
