The Baraboo softball team is now 2-0 on the season and perfect in the Badger North after traveling to Mount Horeb on Thursday and taking down the Vikings 5-3.

Ally Amant got the win for the T-Birds on the mound, pitching four innings and recording three strikeouts and only one walk along the way. Baraboo opened the contest with a run before tacking on two more in the second and another in the third to go up 4-1. The Vikings threatened to come back with a run in the bottom third and another in the fifth, but Baraboo found the insurance run in the sixth to take the game. The win didn’t come easy as the T-Birds committed four errors on the night.

The Thunderbirds collected 10 hits in the contest, with Montana Schuler, Addie Filus, Kaylin McCauley, and Jovanna Blum all recording RBI’s in the victory. Baraboo will be back in action today when it hosts Wisconsin Dells.
