The Badger Lightning suffered a 13-1 non-conference loss to the Western Wisconsin Stars on Saturday at the Somerset Civic Center.
Jade Williams scored three first-period goals, while Ellie Brice added two early goals to give the Stars (4-2-1) a 5-0 lead after a period of play.
Mykenzie Patten and Grace Klein each scored early in the second period and the Stars opened up a 7-0 lead before Kaylee Engel got the Lightning (0-7) on the board with a goal 6:46 into the second.
The Stars closed the game with six unanswered goals to claim a 13-1 win.
Williams finished with four goals on the day, while Brice and Allie Stock each scored two goals.
Natalie Buss made 24 saves for the Lightning, while three Stars combined to tally 10 saves.
The Lightning will continue non-conference play when they visit Black River Falls (4-3-1) on Thursday.
