Juanita Marks, of Baraboo, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the New Life Community Advent Christian Church, 1919 Elizabeth St., Baraboo. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with services to follow at 4 p.m. Pastor Jesse Stevens will officiate. A luncheon will be held after the service at the church.

Juanita was born Aug. 20, 1924, the daughter of Clarence Palmer and Wealthy St. Clair in the town of Ironton, Wis.

She was an avid antique collector. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially loved Christmas; it was her favorite holiday.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Wealthy Palmer; husband, Herbert Marks Sr.; son, Herbert Marks Jr.; grandson, Michael Horstman; daughter, Lois J. Niles; brothers, Warden, George, and Orin; and sisters, Julie, Midge, Viola, Leona, Adeline, and Ethel Schultz.

Survivors include daughter, Deborah Marks of Baraboo; brother, Chan Palmer of Reedsburg; granddaughter, Jody (Lowell) Boettcher of Rock Springs; grandson, Logan L. Custer of Baraboo; dog, Betsy; cat, Zoomer; close friends, Calvin Donovan, Gordon Custer Sr., and David Fanizza, all of Baraboo.
