PEWAUKEE — Our dear mother Entered Eternal Life on July 14, 2010 in Wyndham House and Cottage in Pewaukee. She was preceded in death by our father, Calvin Potter and she was the daughter of Ben and Elva (Koch) Bowman born Feb. 13, 1919.

She graduated from New Lisbon High School, valedictorian, in the Class of 1936. She attended Sauk County Teachers College and then enjoyed teaching country school. She was a Sunday school teacher at the First Methodist Church in Baraboo and was a den mother for her two sons' Boy Scout troop. Later she was a secretary at the Sauk County Courthouse in Baraboo for both the Civil Defense Office and Sheriff's Department until her retirement. She then lived at Witter Lake by Wautoma for many years before moving to the Waukesha County area.

Elane is survived by her three children: sons, Darrell and Terry and daughter, Kathleen Mand. Darrell and his wife Carol live in DeForest and have two daughters, Rachel (Craig) Pringle and Kirstin (Phil) Lambert, and twin sons, Aaron and Derek (Lindsay) Potter. Terry and his wife, Tina live near Red Granite and have six children, Tracy Snyder, Heidi (John) Larscheid, Sara (Joe) Jimenez, Emily (Ken) Dorcey, Brian and Beth. Elane has 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ben Bowman.

A Memorial Service will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53005, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010.
