Betty L. Brancel, 91, of Endeavor/Briggsville, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Tivoli in Portage.
Betty was born on Sept. 16, 1926, in Portage, the daughter of Howard and Gladys (Smith) Bronson. She was married to Earl Brancel on April 14, 1945, in Portage. Earl and Betty enjoyed their many friends in the area and loved to travel. Betty was the hostess for numerous family birthday parties and beautiful Christmas Eve gatherings. Her legacy is love.
She is survived by her children, James (Carol) Brancel of Endeavor, Sally (John) McGwin of Montello, Jeanne Druschke and special friend Tom Druschke, both of Eagle River, and Bob (Deborah) Brancel of Waunakee; nine grandchildren, Jason (Carmen) Brancel, Ryan (Sharon) Brancel, Brooke (Brian) Beale, Mike (Jill) Foley, Hali (Cy) Thompson, Nathan (Jenna) McGwin, Tim Druschke, Nicole Brancel and Emma Brancel; six great-grandchildren, Madeline Brancel, Hans Brancel, Sarah Foley, Violet Brancel, Calla Brancel, Bronson Beale and a great-grandchild on the way; her brothers, Fredrick (Barbara) Bronson and Richard (Mary) Bronson; a stepsister, Jane Mazzara; other relatives and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Earl Brancel, her parents and a great-grandson, Gabriel Brancel.
