I am in my 90s, with rheumatic joints. I use walkers to get around, and still drive on short trips. In August I broke an arm. Breaking my arm prevented me from maintaining this level mobility. After a few days in St. Clare Hospital for treatment I was transferred to St. Clare Meadows Care Center, rehab section. I spent most of two months there in rehabilitation.

Baraboo is fortunate to have this first-class center. The nurses, therapists, nurse’s aides, and other personnel provide wonderful care. They go beyond the book in their friendliness and genuine interest in their patients, doing extra things for us to make our lives more bearable.

My therapists and their aides worked tirelessly to help me improve my strength and coordination. By their example they had me working harder than I would normally have to heal.

Now that I am home I am the beneficiary of excellent therapy weekly to ensure that I reach the level of physical activity that I sustained before my accident.
