Support Baraboo wheel tax for improved roads
A modern economy requires a modern infrastructure system that is maintained as the economy grows and expands as needs change. That is why I am voting “Yes” for the Baraboo Car Registration (Wheel Tax) referendum in April.
I would urge my fellow voters to do the same. As much as I am against tax increases, even this conservative knows when things need to be fixed as a cost-effective solution for a growing economy. The other option is wait for the federal and state governments to address Baraboo’s infrastructure needs. We tried that with the last administration. Remember stimulus and shovel-ready jobs? President Barack Obama admitted things were not so shovel ready. Why wait? A “Yes” vote means a strong infrastructure and a strong economy that does benefit Baraboo and the nation.
