JUNEAU — Waldvogel’s Farm, N7416 Highway I, Juneau, is hosting the first Sunflowers for Wishes Saturday through Sept. 30 to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The recipient, 8-year-old Caleb Ravanelli from Beaver Dam, is living with Deutz syndrome and his wish is to go to Walt Disney World this winter.

More than six acres of sunflowers have been planted and the farm expects to harvest more than 200,000 blooms this fall.

"The sunflowers look great! We are very excited to hold this event at our farm and to work with a great organization like Make-a-Wish. We hope that whole families will come out to our farm to enjoy the beauty of these sunflowers,” said Mike Waldvogel.

Bouquets of three sunflowers will be sold for $5 and seven sunflowers for $10 to go to Make-A-Wish. Rice Krispies treats in the shape of sunflowers will also be available.

Sunflower tours during, weekend hours 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., begin Saturday and continue through Oct. 1. For more information, visit waldvogelfarm.com.
