WAUPUN -- The referendum seeking to detach Fox Lake from the Waupun School District failed on a 1,736 to 1,176 vote.
The referendum sought to move the town and city of Fox Lake from the Waupun School District to the Randolph School District. Failure of the referendum in Waupun, means that will not happen even though the referendum passed in Randolph.
Randolph School District voters approved the referendum 393 to 240.
