Jennifer Bresser and Michael Britt were united in marriage on May 3, 2008, at the Evergreen Lutheran Church in Evergreen, Colo. The service was officiated by the Rev. Vera Guebert-Steward, with a blessing and prayer given by the Rev. Ronald VanderWerff, formerly of First Reformed Church, Friesland, Wis. Pianist was Jeanne Schubert; vocalist and guitarist was Holly Hathaway. Soloist and guitarist was William Britt, father of the groom, who performed "Amazing Grace." Readings were given by Charles Williams, uncle of the groom, and Abigail Johnson, friend of the bride. The couple composed their own wedding vows.
Jennifer is the daughter of Norris and Ann Bresser, Cambria, and granddaughter of Katie Wiersma, Markesan, and Marjorie Bresser, Waupun. Michael is the son of William and Nannette Britt, Clinton, N.Y.
The bride chose her sister, Andrea Halbersma, Vesper, Wis., as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included friends of the bride, Talitha Sanderson, Minneapolis, Minn., Gretchen Unseth, San Diego, Calif., Katherine Christiansen, Denver, Colo., and sister of the groom, Kristen Britt, Roswell, Ga. The flower girl was niece of the bride, Anna Halbersma.
The groom chose his brother, Bill Britt, as best man. Groomsmen were friends of the groom, Kai Peterson, Basalt, Colo., Ryan Christ, Denver, Colo., Joe Canuso, Haverford, Pa., and Jeremy Pinard, Longmont, Colo. Ushers were Adam Redbord, Natick, Me., friend of the groom, and Scott Halbersma, Vesper, Wis., brother-in-law of the bride.
A reception and dance was held at the Evergreen Lake House, Evergreen, Colo. After the wedding celebration, the newlyweds honeymooned in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.
The couple resides in Denver, Colo.
Jennifer is a 1999 graduate of Cambria-Friesland High School, a 2002 graduate of UW-Eau Claire with a bachelor of arts in psychology, and a 2005 graduate of Denver Seminary with a master of arts in Christian counseling. She is employed at Third Way Center as a licensed therapist and treatment leader.
Michael is a 1993 graduate of Clinton Senior High School, N.Y., a 1997 graduate of Hobart College, N.Y., with a bachelor of arts in history, and a 2001 graduate of the University of Colorado with a masters in business administration. He is employed at Caridian Blood Component Technologies as a business analyst in Golden, Colo.
