Alvin and Ann Boerson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 23, 2009.
They were united in marriage on Oct. 23, 1959, at Randolph First Christian Reformed Church in East Friesland, with the Rev. John Van Stempvoort officiating.
Together they raised three children, Thomas (Gina) Boerson, Alto, Christie Steger (fiance Victor Caceres), Beaver Dam, and Jeremy (Kietra) Boerson, Fox Lake. They have one grandson, Austin James Steger, deceased, and on step-grandson, Dakota Fadness.
The couple spent most of their married life with their children living and working on the family farm in Alto.
To honor their 50th anniversary they will celebrate privately with their children.
