Ken Kelm Painting of Beaver Dam was working on the city hall clock tower this week. Andy Kelm operated the crane on Wednesday, while Wally Weber rode to the top of the building in the bucket and Tim Barstow waited on the roof. Thus far, $9,000 has been given for this work from funds received through the 2008 and 2009 Columbus Area Historical Calendar projects. Another $3,500 is coming, according to Alice Schmidt, who works hard on the calendar for several months every year. Schmidt said Wednesday that the 2010 calendars are printed and will be available at all the customary places in the area.
