Agnesian Pharmacy schedules Brown Bag Review
WAUPUN — The use of medications as adults age can cause concerns that aren't anticipated. One of the most dangerous is potential drug interactions. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration reports that an older person is likely to be taking more than four prescription medications at once plus two over-the-counter medications. All of this raises the possibility that some of those drugs will interact with each other.
Because of all the possible combinations, it's essential to take precautions. This is why the Agnesian Pharmacy Waupun, 910 W. Main St., is hosting a free Brown Bag Review on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m.
A Brown Bag Review is when individuals bring in all their medications and meet one-on-one with a pharmacist to discuss their medications and ensure there will not be any drug interactions or duplications with the medications they are currently taking.
There is no charge to attend the Brown Bag Review, but interested individuals are asked to call Leslie at 920-324-3010 extension 118 in advance to set up an appointment.
