Beaver Dam Police are searching for a man who stole money bags from Best Western-Campus Inn early this morning.
Police officers were dispatched to the Best Western-Campus Inn, 815 Park Ave., for a robbery at 4:12 a.m.
Police said the suspect used a garbage can from the business to put blue Bank One money bags of cash in that was taken from the business. The garbage can is described as a tan plastic garbage can approximately two-feet tall with a brown garbage bag inside.
The suspect is described as being 17- to 21-year-old man about 5'8" tall with a thin build, a narrow nose, tattoos on both hands between the thumb and fingers and a tattoo on his forehead above his left eyebrow. The man was wearing jeans with a black, long-sleeve hooded shirt with a zipper front. The sleeves and hood were black in color with small skulls dark gray in color on the sleeves that were bigger than a silver dollar in size. The front portion on of the hooded shirt was white with blue or black stripes.
The suspect may be driving a maroon van.
The man did not display a weapon during the robbery.
A witness to the robbery is providing a description of the suspect so a composite sketch will be provided by police.
