Dimensions of Retirement coming

"The Eight Dimensions of Retirement: Your Future on the Horizon" is coming to the Beaver Dam area.

This eight-week course for Baby Boomers in their 40s, 50s and 60s is designed to show you how retirement can be some of the most satisfying and productive years of your life.

Local and regional leaders, business experts, dynamic volunteers, and fitting examples of those already enjoying active retirement will be the team of panelists and featured speakers during eight individual sessions.

Hear about elder hostels, adventure traveling, exploring second careers, impact volunteering, condo living and RVing. From self discovery and renewal, health and wellness to purposeful living and peak experiences, those who wish to peer into the future and see what retirement could hold for them are encouraged to attend.

A special informational reception to hear more about "The Eight Dimensions of Retiring" is scheduled for Oct. 28 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the conference center on the main floor of the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

The introductory reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Register in advance by calling Beaver Dam Activities and Services at 887-4639.

The Elder Resource Council of Dodge County is sponsoring the kick-off and eight-week series. The ERC also sponsors the yearly Senior Expo in the spring.
