TOWN OF EMMET — A Watertown man who was driving a truck and pulling a trailer led a deputy on a chase early Thursday morning, according to the Dodge County Sheriff's Department.
The chase began in the town of Emmet when a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a truck driven by Justin R. Frohmader, 28, on Highway M, near Highway JM, at 1:03 a.m. Frohmader allegedly led the officer on a chase before driving about 300 feet into a marsh area off Highway J, near Highway M, west of Hustisford, according to the sheriff's department.
Molly Soblewski, sheriff's department patrol captain, said that the truck became stuck and Frohmader fled on foot. The deputy gave chase, but Frohmader was able to escape.
However, Soblewski said a deputy made contact with Frohmader Thursday, and he admitted to driving the truck. She anticipates that charges against Frohmader will be referred to the Dodge County District Attorney's office.
