A 21-year-old Watertown man was killed in a traffic crash on Friday night.
According to Dodge County Police Department, Dustin Griep was traveling north on Highway 26 at approximately 6:15 p.m. Griep attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve, north of Highway CI, when his car left the road and struck a large tree on the right shoulder.
Griep was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. He was the only occupant in the car.
The accident is under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, and was investigated by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Brooks EMS, Waupun Fire Department, Dodge County Medical Examiner and Sheriff’s Department Chaplain and crash investigation team.
