TOWN OF LEROY: Storm damages barns, sheds

Severe thunderstorms that moved through Dodge County Wednesday night destroyed two barns and killed at least seven head of cattle in the town of LeRoy.

Dodge County Sheriff's Department received a report of the damage at Highway V and Farmersville Road just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Two pole barns holding approximately 100 head of cattle were destroyed, along with a number of sheds and fences.

Sheriff Todd Nehls said the path of destruction ran about one mile southwest of Farmersville and the town of Knolls where five horse hutches were destroyed.

The storm also left uprooted trees in its wake, and caused minimal damage to a number of houses.

No injuries were reported.
