BEAVER DAM: Man learns, don't say 'boo'

A Beaver Dam man probably got a bigger fright himself after saying “boo” to a child playing in leaves on Wednesday, three days before Halloween.

According to the Beaver Dam Police report, the 28-year-old man was in the 100 block of Wisconsin Street on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. when he saw a child playing in a pile of leaves and said “boo” to the child.

The parents of the child became upset and the child’s mother used a van that she was driving to block the man from walking and the child’s father began yelling at him.

The man contacted police to let them know  about the incident. Police contacted the parents to warn them about allowing their child to play near the roadway.
