TOWN OF EMMET — The names of the two people who died during a a traffic crash Saturday have been released.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Gloria L. Batzler, 60, rural Watertown and Curtis C. Wolter, 62, rural Hustisford, died as the result of a three-vehicle crash on Highway R near Highway EM. They both were pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.

The sheriff’s office issued a news release stating that preliminary investigation shows a GMC Jimmy driven by Batzler was traveling east on Highway R in the westbound lane. The GMC struck a westbound Ford Ranger driven by Wolter head-on east of Highway EM at 5:37 p.m. A Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Rachel A. Jeske, 53, Lebanon, that was traveling west behind the Ford Ranger stuck both vehicles.

Jeske and her passengers, Kelly G. Jeske, 55, and Christa M. Fletcher, 26, received non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Aurora Medical Center in Summit.
