MAYVILLE — The Rev. David Koch announced that he will run for Mayor of Mayville in a statement issued Sunday.

The Christian Life Fellowship pastor and former Mayville school board member is inviting residents meet him in person and sign the nomination petition to have his name appear on the April 4 ballot.

Koch’s event will be held Thursday at the TAG center in Mayville, 1800 Breckenridge St., from 6-8 p.m.

“I believe this is a wonderful place to live, learn, work, shop, worship and play,” Koch said in the statement. “I have served the public for the past 42 years in full-time ministry. My plan is to retire Dec. 31 of this year. Being retired will allow me the flexibility and time to give attention to the needs of Mayville.

“My experiences involve planning and managing budgets, developing agendas, casting vision, resolving conflict, and managing paid and volunteer staffs.”
