FOX LAKE — The 12th annual Fox Lake December to Remember will be held on Saturday with events for people of all ages.

The event begins at noon at the Fox Lake Community Center, 248 E. State St., and is free and open to the public.

There will be face painting, hair styling, cookie and cupcake decorating, ornament painting, a coloring contest and other activities. Santa and his holiday friends will be there to pose for photos, so bring a camera.

Adults can enjoy shopping, raffles, silent auctions and a bake sale. Lunch will be available for purchase.

The parade of lights begins at 5 p.m. It will line up at Mill and State Street and end at the community center.

Following the parade, Santa will hand out candy to all children. There will also be school band performances and local carolers.

The city of Fox Lake will provide a free dinner. People are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the food pantry.

All proceeds will benefit community activities (like these) for the greater Fox Lake area.
