Alan F. “Al” Raabe, 57, Reeseville, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at his home.
A visitation will take place Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Alan was born the son of William “Bill” Raabe Sr. and Elizabeth “Beth” Kobs-Raabe on July 2, 1960, in Beaver Dam. He was employed at Rennhack Construction for 25 years and previously worked at the Kirsch Foundry for 10 years. Al was a sports fan. He liked to watch Rusty Wallace race and was a Packers fan. He enjoyed hunting, was always there to help his friends, and loved to spend time with his friends at Charlie Brown’s Bar.
He is survived by his longtime significant other, Carrie Galaska of Reeseville; her daughter, Christina Basterash; his brothers and sisters, Lois Kobs (Bill) of Janesville, MaryLou Hodgkins of Beaver Dam, Bill Raabe Jr. (Wendy) of Fond du Lac, John (Chris) Raabe of Fond du Lac, Liz VanBuren (Jim) of Montgomery, Minnesota, Patty Cotter (Steve) of Lonsdale, Minnesota, Sue Raabe of Fond du Lac, and Penny (Curt) Kimball of Fond du Lac; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and his three dogs, Mousette, Pooka and Chicka. Al is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
