Donald H. Boettcher, 75, Reeseville, died peacefully Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at the Reeseville Community Center Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. The Rev. Donald Steinberg will be officiating and burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Lowell.

Donald Harvey Boettcher was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Watertown, to Roland E. and Mildred E. (Lau) Boettcher. Reeseville was always his home and he was a 1960 graduate of Reeseville High School. On Nov. 21, 1964, Don was united in marriage with Karen R. Rahn at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Donny made his career at Brandt Inc./De La Rue in Watertown as a computer program specialist. He retired in 2007 after 47 years of employment. Don was very active in the Reeseville community and had many friends throughout the area. He was a dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a member of the Reeseville Community Center Board. Donny also served as a past member of the village of Reeseville Board, Reeseville-Lowell Lions Club, and the Reeseville Fire Department. He will be extremely missed by his family and friends, as well as the community of Reeseville.

Survivors include Donny’s sons, Craig Boettcher (Michele Schwanke) of Horicon, and Jason Boettcher of Eagle, Idaho; grandchildren, Shaina (Justin) Gaupp, Tyler Boettcher, and Brett Boettcher; sister, Susan Boettcher of Beaver Dam; a very special great-granddaughter, Taliya Renae; many special nieces and nephews; other relatives and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karen in 1991; a brother, Kenneth; and a sister, Karen L. Boettcher.

If desired, memorials may be made in Donald H. Boettcher’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
