Ronald E. Uttech, 88, Juneau, passed away surrounded by his loving family Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017.

He was born Oct. 1, 1929, in Beaver Dam, the son of Max and Frieda (nee Hackbarth) Uttech. Ron graduated from Juneau High School in 1947 and the following year he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He married Joyce Mueller in 1953 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman. Ron worked at Dairyland in Juneau and later at Mayville Metal Products. He also worked at and retired from Advance Products Corp. in Beaver Dam. He enjoyed Wisconsin sports, his yard, his garden and family cookouts. Ron took great fun in bowling and bowled on several teams in the Juneau area. He had a great sense of humor and always had a smile for everyone.

Ron is survived by his loving children, Randy of Juneau, Nancy Schuett of Watertown, Daniel of Juneau, and Kent (Audra) Uttech of Watertown; his precious 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; his brother, Orlie Uttech of South Carolina; his sisters-in-law, Karen (Doug) Rhodes of Watertown, and Laverne Uttech; and his stepchildren, Chad and Brooke Klink; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, in 1976; and later by his second wife, Carol Klink, in 1998; five brothers and six sisters.

Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 9, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Juneau from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow at church at 1 p.m. The Rev. David Brandt will officiate. Internment Juneau City Cemetery.
