Pearl M. Franke, 94, Fall River, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, at The Meadows in Fall River.

She was born April 28, 1923, in Sun Prairie, to Leonard and Helen (Zillig) Veith. Pearl was married to Leon Franke Nov. 15, 1941, in Sun Prairie. Together the couple farmed in the town of Fountain Prairie until retirement. Pearl was a member of St. Anne’s Society and St. Jerome Church. She enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead and euchre with family and friends. Pearl was generous with her time in helping others, often giving rides to friends when needed. After retirement, she and her husband traveled to Europe several times and saw much of the U.S. in their motorhome.

Survivors include 11 nieces and nephews, Ray (Debbie) Brockman, Roger Brockman, Ronald (Kim) Brockman, Randy Brockman, Marie (Dan) Wampole, Sue (Mike) Hartman, Rodney (Patty) Brockman, Roland (Leslie) Brockman, Roy (Jessica) Brockman, Ramona (Craig) Lee and Ryan Brockman; many grandnieces and grandnephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon in 1997; a sister, Joan Brockman; and brother-in-law, Richard Brockman; nephew, Robert Brockman.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Garrett Kau will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sacred Hearts Catholic Cemetery, Sun Prairie. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
