Donald N. Gollnick, 71, Beaver Dam, passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.
Donald was born the son of Martin W. and Laura M. (Johnson) Gollnick on May 31, 1946, in Westfield. He was a 1964 graduate of Westfield High School. Don was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for more than 40 years. He was married to Lorraine C. Bradley on Oct. 18, 2010, at UW Hospital in Madison in Room 14 in the TLC Ward. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and formerly of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westfield.
Don enjoyed traveling the United States and attending vintage car shows along the way. His family was his greatest priority in life, he loved spending time with them and sharing the adventures of his travels with them. One of his greatest joys was being with his grandchildren. They were always able to put a smile on his face and he treasured each of them.
Don is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Beaver Dam; his son, Michael Boschaert (Deanna Paul) of Randolph and their children, Ryan and Riley; his stepchildren, Kevin (Macy) Buchda and their children, Tyson, Kadynce and Chloe; Shaun (Stefanie) Bradley and their children, Sydney and Somaya; and Amy Schraufnagel and her children, Ethan, Preston, Gavin and Clayton; his sister, Linda Mays of Oxford; his sisters-in-law, Dawn Gollnick of Coloma and Barbara Gollnick of Westfield; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Phillip, Gerald, Harlan and Scott; and his sister, Irene Ruck.
A private memorial service was held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
