Bernardean A. Stofflet

Bernardean Amelia (Biel) Stofflet, 85, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Golden LivingCenter-Continental Manor of Randolph.

Bernardean was born Oct. 16, 1923, the daughter of Ervin and Laura (Hatzinger) Biel in Columbus.

Bernardean was united into marriage to Bernard Stofflet on Feb. 21, 1944, in Lost Lake. She was formerly employed with Weyenberg Shoe Factory and Monarch Range of Beaver Dam.

Bernardean is survived by two sons, LaMoyne (Odessa) Stofflet, Beaver Dam and Steve (Hazel) Stofflet, Brandon; a daughter, Crystal (Larry) Wiersma, Beaver Dam; 11 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Jean (Tom) Dover of, Beaver Dam; brother-in-law Jim Peck, Beaver Dam; sister-in-law Nancy Biel, Waterford; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her parents; two brothers, Lester and Gordon Biel; two sisters Loretta Peck and LuWayne Helmer; son-in-law David Neuman; brother-in-law Art Helmer; and one granddaughter Monica.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
