ROSCOE, Ill. - Rosella Frey, 91, died on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, after a short-term illness.
Rosella was born to Peter and Rose (Schreiner) Holbach on Aug. 15, 1918, at Atwater, Wis. She married Hilbert Frey on June 24, 1939, in Waupun.
Rosella was a resident of Roscoe, Ill., for nearly 70 years. She was a retiree of Freeman Shoe Co., a homemaker, an avid gardener and a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include a son, Roger (Carol) Frey, Rockton, Ill., and three daughters, Elaine (Gale) Terrell, Caledonia, Ill., Marge (Jerry) Williams, Golden, Colo., and Beverly (Gordon) Blum, Juneau; grandchildren, David (Sharon) Frey, Jeffery (Linda) Frey, Timothy Frey, Robin Frey, Mary (Allen) Asche, Teresa (William) Haymes, Michelle (Timothy) Bergeron, Jennifer (Christopher) Sprague, and Heather Frey; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Henry (Dolores) Holbach, Melvin (Millie) Holbach, and Richard (Aggie) Holbach; two sisters, Lauretta Peters, and Virginia (Gene) Rake, and two sisters-in-law, Ida and Jean Holbach.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hilbert; a son and daughter-in-law, Myron and Yvonne Frey; two brothers, Wilfred and Edward Holbach; sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Edward Kovalaske; brother-in-law, Leroy Peters and sisters-in-law, Florence and Shirley Holbach.
Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at Honquest Family Funeral Home, Roscoe, Ill., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial was in Roscoe Cemetery.
