Calvin L. Hull

WAUPUN - Calvin Lynn Hull, 55, of Waupun, died on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at UW Hospital in Madison, surrounded by his family.

Calvin was born on Oct. 6, 1954, in Waupun, a son to Edwin and Alene (Vande Zande) Hull. He attended Waupun schools with the class of 1973. On June 25, 1993, he married Susan Raddatz in Waupun. Calvin lived in the Waupun area all his life, and was employed with the family business. He was a salesman and a truck driver for more than 30 years with Hull’s 151 Implement. Calvin was an outdoorsman who loved golfing, fishing, and hunting.  He was an avid sportsman, and a big Packers fan.  He played little league, high school, and Legion baseball and continued playing fast pitch and moderate pitch softball into his adult life. He was part of the Waupun Little League state championship team. Calvin enjoyed beginning his day drinking coffee with his friends. He entered the hospital in July of this year and was in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation units until his death. 

Calvin is survived by Susan, his wife of 16 years; his son Andrew, at home; his parents, Edwin and Alene Hull, Waupun; his brother, Leslie  and his wife Linda Hull, Waupun; two sisters, Mary and her husband Jim Southard, Pipe, Wis.; Marcia and her husband Dean Perleberg, Tuscan, Ariz.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father-in-law, Marvin Raddatz.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 400 W. Brown St., Waupun, with the Rev. Calvin J. Vande Zande officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Mound Cemetery. Calvin’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Waupun, and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Calvin’s son Andrew.
