FOND DU LAC - Anthony J. Westhuis, 55, of W6110 Lost Arrow Road, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital.
Anthony was born on July 27, 1954, in Fond du Lac, a son of Milton and Beverly Hadley Westhuis. On Sept. 12, 1992, he married Donna M. Russell.
Anthony worked at Brenner Tank for 32 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed gardening, canning and bird watching. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Donna Westhuis; children, Jessica Techlow, Oshkosh, Jody Wykes, Packwaukee, Jackie Westhuis, Neshkoro, Carol Hughes, Ripon, James (Sue) Murphy, Markesan, Daniel (Rachelle) Murphy, Cambria, and Melissa (Andrew) Glass, Markesan; grandchildren, Angel Lynn, Bonnie Marie, Eric John, Heather Sue, Benjamin James, Sara Elizabeth, Cora Jane, Erin Elizabeth and McKenna Lyndon; great-grandchildren, Mara Mae and Kaileigh Rose; mother, Beverly Westhuis, Fond du Lac; brothers, Alan (Louise) Westhuis, Hudson, and Loren Westhuis, Waupun; a sister, Debbie (Dan) Hoekstra, Waupun. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Milton Westhuis.
The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Main St., Fond du Lac, with the Rev. Michael J. Zuberbier officiating. Burial will be at Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be at church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
