WAUPUN - Calvin Bos, 56, of Waupun, died unexpectedly on Nov. 4, 2009.
Cal was born Feb. 18, 1953, in Waupun, the son of John C. and Shirley Kraemer Bos. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1971 and served in the National Guard from 1972 to 1977. On April 24, 1976, he married Susan Kemink in Alto. He worked for the City of Waupun Department of Public Works. Cal was a member of Alto Reformed Church. He loved hunting and the outdoors.
Cal is survived by his wife, Sue (Kemink) Bos; two daughters, Teresa (Justin) DeVries and Maggie (Jeremy) Block; two granddaughters, Olivia and Lily DeVries; a sister, Laurie (Randy) Vande Slunt; two brothers, Mike (Sharon) Bos and Tony (Emma) Bos; three sisters-in-law, Jan (Lowell) Prill, Kathy (Robert) Flier and Pauline (Steve) Peters; a brother-in-law, Bruce Henning; best of friends, Scott (Luann) Zurbuchen; many nieces and nephews
Cal was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Shirley (Kraemer) Bos, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Therassa Kemink, a sister-in-law, Lenora (Norie) Henning.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church iwith the Revs. Dr. Gregg Pusateri and Ted Medema officiating. Burial will follow at Alto Cemeter. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Saturday at church from 9 to 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Cal’s name.
