The Beaver Dam Lions Club recently completed vision screening for children between 2 years and the fifth grade. All elementary schools, three parochial schools and five daycare centers were visited during six days of testing.

In all, 1,651 children were screened and 106 were referred for further assessment by an eye care professional. While the screening done by the Lions can identify likely eye health concerns and referrals are sent to the parents, it is important to have the child evaluated.

We members of the Beaver Dam Lions Club would like to thank the community for their generous support of our fundraising efforts, which enable us to provide this and other services to the Beaver Dam Community.
