Beaver Dam Police Beat

Retail theft — Two 14-year-old boys were cited with retail theft on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. after attempting to steal items from ShopKo, 822 Park Ave. They were both released to their parents.

Retail theft — A 19-year-old woman was cited with retail theft on Wednesday at 2:35 p.m. after attempting to steal items from ShopKo, 822 Park Ave.

Retail theft — An 18-year-old woman was cited with retail theft on Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. after attempting to steal items from ShopKo, 822 Park Ave.

Theft — A woman reported that her purse was stolen while she was in a changing room at Goodwill, 130 Frances Lane, on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Bail jumping — A man reported that he saw a man stumbling as he got out of a vehicle in the 500 block of Madison Street on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. The 59-year-old man was taken into custody and transported to jail for bail jumping.

Disorderly conduct — A man reported that a 22-year-old man at a home in the 100 block of Washington Street on Thursday at 8 p.m. was throwing items around in the home.

Police responded and took the 22-year-old into custody for a probation and parole hold. He was transported to Dodge County Jail.

Unwanted person — A 32-year-old woman reported that a 27-year-old man was at her home in the 300 block of York Street on Thursday at 8:45 p.m. and would not leave. The man left while the woman was reporting the incident.

The woman was advised to call back if the man returned.

Intoxicated individual — A 40-year-old woman reported on Thursday at 9:50 p.m. that her roommate, a 30-year-old man would not let her into their residence.

Police responded and took the man to Beaver Dam Community Hospital for medical clearance and then to Tellurian Detoxification Center.
