Waupun Police Beat

Vandalism — A man reported on Oct. 20 that while his car was parked in the 200 block of Carrington Street someone put a dent in the left quarter panel and a scratch on the hood. It appears someone intentionally kicked and slid across the hood.

Citation — At 3 a.m. on Oct. 21 police were told of a vehicle on the streets with four people in it being driven by someone who didn’t have a drivers license. Police found the vehicle and found the woman driving had a revoked license. A records check found a probation hold on one of the passengers from Oshkosh. A K-9 search alerted police to a side door where a cigar wrapper full of marijuana was found. A 29-year-old Waupun woman admitted it was hers. She was issued a citation for possession of marijuana. The driver was issued a citation for driving after revocation.

Vandalism — On Oct. 21 it was reported that some children were at the 200 block of South State Street smashing pumpkins. There were also smashed pumpkins on Walker Street.

Theft — On Oct. 21 a woman at the 900 block of Wilcox Street said a friend came over to help her clean and took some of her medication. She called back later and said she found her medication.

Improper parking — On Oct. 22 an employee at McDonalds, 932 E. Main St., asked that two vehicles be ticketed, a silver GMC and another vehicle. The other vehicle turned out to be that of an employee, so only the GMC was ticketed.

Hit and run — On Oct. 22 a woman reported that the mirror on her car was struck and damaged while parked in the 100 block of South Watertown Street.
