Hit and run — A man reported on Friday at 4:45 p.m. that an unknown vehicle struck the side of Applebee’s restaurant, 1738 N. Spring St., and broke a fence. The man was unsure if the driver knew the building had been struck.
Disorderly conduct — A woman reported on Friday at 5:40 p.m. that people in a vehicle threw lotion and candies at her when they were driving in the 100 block of North Spring Street.
Disorderly conduct — A 29-year-old woman reported that a 25-year-old woman came into her home in the 200 block of East Mill Street Friday at 5:50 p.m. and struck her in the face. Police did not find the 25-year-old that day.
Intoxicated individual — Police responded to the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Davis Street on Friday at 7:10 p.m. for a woman who was walking in the middle of the street. The woman had a blood alcohol level of .35. She was taken in for detoxification.
Theft — A woman reported on Friday at 9 p.m. that someone stole money from her purse when she left it in a restroom at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 120 Frances Lane.
Noise complaint — Police received a report on Saturday at 2:30 a.m.. of a man banging on walls in an apartment building in the 100 block of Washington Street. Police made contact with a 38-year-old man who had just gotten home and said the neighbors were yelling at him so he was yelling back. Police received a second call at 2:45 p.m. that the man was outside the apartments and was yelling again. When officers arrived, they did not find anyone yelling and the man was inside his apartment. They gave him a verbal warning for noise.
Found property — A woman reported on Saturday at 6:40 a.m. that a bicycle had been abandoned near the intersection of Cleveland Street and Prospect Avenue. The bike was taken to the police department garage.
Breaking and entering — A man reported on Saturday at 3 a.m. that a man was breaking into cars in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. The 25-year-old man had been looking for a lighter and was released to a responsible party.
Domestic problem — Two women reported on Sunday at 3:15 p.m. that a 22-year-old man was attempting to break in a door of an apartment in the 100 block of Lakecrest Drive. The man fled on foot but officers were able to make contact with him. He was taken into custody for domestic disorderly conduct. His bond was posted and he was released.
Theft — A woman reported that a bicycle was stolen from outside Kohl’s Department Store, 1734 N. Spring St., on Sunday at 4:40 p.m. The bicycle is described as a black, diamondback with a red seat, red hand grips and lots of stickers.
Vandalism — A man reported on Sunday at 7:40 p.m. that someone was throwing pumpkins at moving vehicles near the intersection of Beaver and Norris streets. Police investigated the incident and found that apples were being thrown — not pumpkins. The people throwing the apples had left the scene.
Underage drinking — Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Green Valley Road and Industrial Drive on Monday at 2:15 a.m. After conducting the stop, a 37-year-old man was taken to jail on a probation and parole violation and a 20-year-old man was cited with underage drinking. The 20-year-old was released to a responsible party.
