Waupun Police Beat

Threat — A woman in the 400 block of East Main Street was threatened by phone on Tuesday, Jan. 26, in regards to the mayoral campaign.

Suspended license — On Jan. 29 an officer noted a vehicle being operated by a man he knew to have a revoked driver’s license. This was confirmed by the DOT. The 32-year-old Waupun man is also on probation and he’s not to drive. He was taken to Dodge County Jail.

Dog case — On Jan. 29 a woman reported that a brown and white dog is chained up at a home by Division and Brown streets. She said the occupants moved and come once a week to feed it. They said the dog is shaking and they can see its bones. The homeowner said he is living at the residence and the dog was left outside today for about one hour while he went and got his kids from school.

Disorderly conduct — On Jan. 29 owners of the City Grill, 435 E. Main St., said a woman is refusing to leave the business, and is being very loud.

Harassment —  On Jan. 30 a woman in the 400 block of South Grove Street said she’s getting harassing phone calls from the Bahamas. 

Vandalism — On Jan. 30 police discovered two city trash containers pushed over, cracked and damaged by unknown parties at the corner of Mill and Main streets.

Burglary — Someone broke into a garage in the 200 block of North Madison Street and it was reported on Jan. 30. Nothing was stolen but the service door to the garage was broken.
