BD boys tennis: Lehner perfect in duals

By Citizen Staff

Beaver Dam's Mitch Lehner was undefeated in his three singles matches at Saturday's home triple dual tennis meet.

Lehner defeated Verona's Ross Tipton, 6-4, 6-1, Madison La Follette's Corey Chamberlin, 6-2, 6-3 and Stevens Point's Cody Crunhilton, 7-6 (4), 6-2.

"It was nice to see Mitch play well at No. 4 singles," BD coach Dave Kalscheur said.

Ryan Miller won two matches but lost to Stevens Point's Will Peck in a third set tiebreak.

BD won its only match against La Follette, 6-1.

"It was good competition," Kalscheur said. "Verona and Stevens Point are conference champions."

BD heads to Wisconsin Lutheran Tuesday.
