JANESVILLE — Beaver Dam's girls soccer team ended Saturday's Parker Invite on a high note with a 5-0 shutout of Clinton.
"I was happy to finally get a win and get some goals," BD coach Kevin Wallace said.
BD (3-13) opened the tournament with a 3-0 loss to host Parker before falling to Cambridge/Deerfield, 2-1, in the second round.
Jenn Drzonek and Sara Rollins each scored two goals. Also adding goals were Lauryn Harper and Alison Bonis.
"Overall, I think we did OK," Wallace said. "I know the Parker game was going to be tough. It just seems that when we get behind is when we start playing."
BD heads to Wisconsin Lutheran Tuesday.
