BD opens golf season

WATERTOWN — Beaver Dam's girls golf team started the season off with a 10th-place finish during Friday's 15-team Watertown Invitational.

"We showed some improvement over last year but we have room for improvement," Beaver Dam coach Bob McIntyre said. "We are looking for improvement in our overall team scores and knocking five shots per player over last year's averages.

"I am excited about this team's potential."

Emma Dittmann led BD with 102 strokes. Other BD scores include Stacy Heiling (117), Brittany Roen (120), Blake Sabatke (124) and Bridget Pritchard (136, scratch).

BD hosts a Little Ten meet at Old Hickory Monday morning.

Beaver Dam: Dittmann 102, Heiling 117, Roen 120, Sabatke 124, Pritchard 136 (scratch).
