DEFOREST – Maryn Ferron scored a dozen first-half points – on four 3-pointers – and Maty Wilke added 11 in the first half, helping Beaver Dam’s prep girls basketball team build a 22-point halftime advantage en route to a 74-35, Badger North Conference victory over DeForest on Thursday night.

Both girls finished with 14 points in the game, while Jada Donaldson added four points, four rebounds, and four steals.

Also chipping in was Paige Schumann with 11 points, five assists, three rebounds, and three steals while Afton Bartol added 10 points and three rebounds.

With the win over DeForest (0-4, 0-2 Badger North) now in the rearview mirror, the Golden Beavers (3-0, 2-0) look forward to Tuesday’s conference tilt at Portage.
