Wes Weiglein, Jr., Mayville: 3-year starter for Cardinals who helped lead them to 6-5 overall record and first postseason berth since 2009. Had 1,225 passing yards and 14 touchdowns. Honorable mention all-Flyway.
Peter Paddock, Sr., Markesan: Surprise starter for the Hornets who was a bulldozer out of the backfield, rushing for 667 yards and team-high 10 TDs. 1st team all-Trailways Large.
Nate Oestreich, Soph., Dodgeland: Bruiser of a running back who was the workhorse for Trojans’ run-first attack. Led team with 1,128 rushing yards and five TDs.
Ben Waldo, Sr., Columbus: Hard-nose running back who led Columbus with 820 yards. Usually always took two or more players to take him to the ground.
Austin Triggs, Sr., Markesan: 1st team all-Trailways Large, All-Region selection. Was second on the team in rushing (685 yards) and receiving (680 yards), but when his team needed a big play, he was the one they counted on.
Andy Vujnovich, Sr., Columbus: Second on team in rushing (685 yards) and receiving (680 yards). 1st team all-Trailways Large, and all-region according to Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.
Marshall Goodrich, Sr., Beaver Dam: Head coach Steve Kuenzi said Goodrich was the team’s secret weapon. Had 201 receiving yards on 16 catches. Honorable mention all-Badger North.
Blaiz Firari, Sr., Beaver Dam: Very gritty runner that was tough to bring down. Rushed for modest 543 yards and three TDs but ground out tough yardage against some of top teams in the greater Madison area, including two games against D2 state champ Waunakee. 2nd team all-Badger North.
Noah Cook, Sr., Beaver Dam: Smart and understands how to use leverage, which made him team’s best and most consistent lineman. Honorable mention all-Badger North.
Devin Talg, Sr., Fall River: Three-year starter whose experience and football IQ allowed him to help coaches with adjustments mid-game. 2nd team all-Trailways Small.
Ethan Budnik, Sr., Horicon/Hustisford: One of the smallest lineman in Trailways Small but speed, agility, and heart made him one of the best. 2nd team all-Trailways Large.
Rob Woock, Sr., Waupun: Didn’t allow a sack all season. Helped pave the way for an offense that threw for 1,499 yards and rushed for 823. Honorable mention all-East Central Conference.
Kyle Gabel, Sr., Beaver Dam: Didn’t have many chances, but still had tremendous power as he kicked a school-record 42-yard field goal. Honorable mention all-Badger North.
