CUDAHY — The 2017-18 season is off to a good start for the Beaver Dam/Wayland prep boys swimming team, as the newly formed co-op took third place among 10 teams at Saturday’s Cudahy Small School Invite.
Leading the way was Nolan Kohlbeck, who won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 0.7 seconds and also joined Jonathn White, Ryan Falkinham and Tia Thomas on Beaver Dam/Wayland’s 400 freestyle relay team that won in 3:58.54.
Kohlbeck also joined those three on the 200 medley relay team that took second in 1:55.38, as well as fourth in the 100 butterfly in 1:03.46.
White took third in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.49) and fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:05.12), Miguel Serrano took fifth in the 200 individual medley and Falkingham took sixth in both the 200 free (2:15.97) and 500 free (6:29.42).
Serrano, Patrick Schuster, Ryan Almeida and Eric Cai teamed up to take fifth in the 200 free relay (1:50.41).
“We had multiple personal best times and a ton of great swims and couldn’t be happier with how our first meet of the season went,” Beaver Dam/Wayland co-head coach Jenna Wisdorf said.
