Roger Michael Knerr
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Roger Michael Knerr, a long-time resident of Woodland Hills, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2006. He was born in Brooklyn, Iowa, on Sept. 17, 1930. After being discharged from the 82nd Airborne Division, he graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Northrop Aeronautical Institute. He was employed in the aerospace industry for 40 years; the last 20 years working on the space shuttle program.
He is survived by his wife, Rusty. Their 55-year marriage was blessed with a daughter, Kristie Knerr; a son, Kerry Knerr; a son-in-law, Michael Spencer; and three granddaughters, Andrea', Abby, and Morgan Spencer-Knerr; along with many family, friends and loved ones.
A Memorial Service was held Sunday, March 26, 2006. The family greatly appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, a memorial foundation has been established in Roger's name at the Disabled American Veterans Birmingham Hospital, Chapter 73, Attention: Forget-Me-Not Drive, 6543 Corbin Ave., Woodland Hills, CA 91367.
