Eva M. Weigel

Eva M. Weigel, 88, of Baraboo passed away on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at St. Clare Hospital. Eva was born on Aug. 10, 1920 in Eveleth, Minn., the daughter of Adam and Alice (Connett) Smith. On Aug. 19, 1939, Eva was united in marriage with Frank D. Weigel in The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was employed for more than 25 years as a personnel assistant with the Olin-Mathison Corp. at Badger Ordnance Ammunitions Plant. Eva enjoyed reading and singing. She sang with the local musical group The Choralettes in the early 1950s. Eva was a member of First United Methodist Church in Baraboo.

Survivors include a son, Daniel (Gail) Weigel of Saukville; granddaughter, Lori (John) Sanders of Sheboygan; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Courtney; brother-inlaw, Gilbert (Agnes) Weigel of Hartland; three sisters-inlaw, Prudy Weigel of Janesville, Eileen Behling of Lake Mills, and Mildred Bradow of Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Frank.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home in Baraboo, with Pastor Donna Miller officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorials in Eva's memory may be made to First United Methodist Church in Baraboo.
