Charles 'Chuck' Holl

Charles "Chuck" W. Holl, age 72, died unexpectedly Friday , June 26, 2009 , at St. Mary’s Hospital , Madison. He was born on May 27, 1937 in Milwaukee, the son of Charles M. and Helen (Scoville) Holl. Following graduation from Sheboygan Central High School , he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged Nov. 19, 1959.

He was accepted into the Wisconsin State Patrol in 1968 and retired April 30, 1990. Chuck had served on the Sauk Prairie school board for many years, was a Sauk City Village Board member and was currently serving the Sauk City Planning Commission. He enjoyed being involved with Cub Scouts and was a Cub Scout leader for many years . He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Darlene; two sons, David (Paula) and Dan (Connie); five grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Jennifer Kim, Jared and Brendan Holl; three great-grandchildren, Jamie, Ethan and Christopher Kim.

A memorial service will be held at 1 a.m. on Friday July 3, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Prairie du Sac. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. John’s Church.
