Marlene Jo Reimer

JANESVILLE — Marlene Jo (Caflisch) Reimer, age 69 of Janesville, passed away peacefully Oct. 25, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Baraboo on April 17, 1940, the daughter of Donald and Hertha (Schoenbeck) Caflisch.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Reimer of Oregon; son, Leonard Reimer, and daughter, April (Kenneth) Driver, both of Beloit; daughters, Misty (James) Ruosch and Candy (Nathan) Whitehead, both of Janesville; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson, all of whom she adored very much. She is further survived by her sisters, Carolyn (Robert) Doepke, Sue Carpenter; and brother, Timothy (Lisa) Caflisch; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Danny.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 210 S. Ringold, Janesville, with the Rev. Paul Garchow officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home, 1800 E. Racine, Janesville.

Marlene Reimer’s family would like to thank St. Elizabeth Nursing Home staff and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for all their care these past few months. A special thank you to the Hospice Care Inc. staff for their care and compassion for not only mom but the entire family.

Marlene was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. May she rest in peace.
