Alma Dorothy (Rathman) Reimer
Alma Dorothy (Rathman) Reimer, age 94, of Baraboo, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at St. Clare Hospital.
Alma was born on Aug. 18, 1915 in Reedsburg, the daughter of Albert and Frieda (Halvenslaben) Rathman. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend to many and touched the lives of all who knew her. Alma was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Dennis) Laufenberg of Baraboo; 10 grandchildren, Dianne Long, Nancy (Steve) Hamilton, and Cale (Shirley) Good, all of Baraboo, Debra (Brian Vertein) Buelow of Reedsburg, Faith (Randy) Armbruster of Baraboo, Randy (Patty) Marshall of Baraboo, Thomas (Sandra) Marshall of Pittsville, Kathy Gieger of Madison, Jody (Brian) Woodbury of Baraboo, Scott Laufenberg of Madison, 19 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild; special sister, Gertrude Roach of Chippewa Falls; and other relatives and friends.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Betty Good, Bonnie Schell, and Delores Arnce; 14 brothers and sisters; one great-grandson; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 727 8th St. in Baraboo, with Pastors Deb and Steve Ohrtman officiating. Visitation will at the church on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Interment will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
